Altitude Services continue to grow, and we are now looking to strengthen our team by recruiting a talented and ambitious Quantity Surveyor, to be based at our office in Hapton, Lancashire.

 

The Role

The role would suit somebody who may have graduated in recent years and spent time as an Assistant/Graduate QS with a civil engineering contractor or specialist subcontractor, and is looking to take their next career step with a small to medium sized business where they can develop their skills, implement their own systems, play a key role and make a real positive difference.

The primary role will be to assist the Commercial and Operational Management team in providing day to day quantity surveying duties on multiple projects. Tasks to include:

On Site measurement and valuations

Procurement of materials and subcontractors

Managing risk

Cost Value Reporting

Material / subcontract procurement and payment

Commercial appraisal of tender/contract documents

Preparation of Bills of Quantities

Preparation of cost estimates

 

The Person

This exciting position requires a person who is:

Methodical and meticulous in approach

Capable of producing high quality written material by hand and using computers

Technically minded and possess a high degree of numerical ability

An effective communicator and a good team player

Conscientious and has a self-disciplined approach

Ability to work on multiple projects

Good negotiation skills and commercial acumen

A degree in Quantity Surveying (or working towards) will be an advantage.
